How do I unlock the next city with steps?
In CuriFox you see and play the cities you have unlocked. Your home city is free. The next big city costs gems, or you walk there: all your steps count, not only those on CuriFox routes.
Where the steps come from
During setup the app asks for permission to read your steps: Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android. Every time you open the app it reads the steps since last time and adds them up. A popup tells you how many steps you have walked since your last visit.
Setting a goal
Zoom out on the map or tap the city progress bar at the top. If it says Set goal, you have no goal city yet: pick one. A track from your city to the goal city appears on the map, and the part your steps already cover is marked.
Arriving
When the track is full the goal city is unlocked, without gems. The goal clears, your steps stay, and you can pick the next city. If you do not want to wait, unlock a city immediately for gems, even while another one is the goal.
